Arsenal vs Liverpool
Sheasby gets his men in a huddle in the new changing rooms before the match begins and says to his lads “We are on some good form at the minute having just won soundly here against a tough Newcastle side and i believe you lads can do it” The match gets under way and it seems a very tight battle between both Arsenal and Liverpool and where will the scoring open. With Luis Garcia and Gerrard proving tricky opposition from the midfield area the back 4 of Eboue, Gallas, Toure and Espraza are proving to hold them out. Then BANG! RVP slots home a perfect shot from a great Eboue pass to open the scoring. This could prove vital for the match and show who Sheasbys winning partnership shall become for the coming season. All is even and the half time whilst goes Sheasby gets his men in the changing room and gives them a quick team talk saying “Keep up the excellent work lads. If you keep going the way you are we could make this a season to remember!” Sheasby claps his hands as his number 2 Pat Rice opens the changing room door. Rafa’s team hear Sheasby shouting “Come on lads! More of the same this 2nd half!” Can Sheasbys team talk really work and help his team maintain the victory? or will Rafas men surge a fight back.
The second half begins and Liverpools Peter Crouch shoddily gives the ball away to Emmauel Eboue who begins to run with the ball before searching out a pass to Alexandre Hleb but after some confusion in the midfield Hleb loses the ball and Liverpool start to attack the back 4 and Lee Camps goal. But Lee pulls off a spectaculer save to keep a Kuyt header out of the goal and see its go over for a corner. The possession is all going Liverpools way for the next 10 minutes and the back 4 and Lee Camp have to sustain some heavy bombardment with much success! Both sides make substitutions and decided to bring in new players to the game. Liverpool decide to look at the attacking force and bring off Peter Crouch for Robbie Fowler, can the experienced forward prove tricky against Arsenals back line. After a few minutes of play Sheasby sees Hleb is getting a little out run in the midfield and decided to bring him off for Leighton Baines to help bolster the defense, this also meant re shuffling the back line moving Omar Espraza into left midfield and Tomas Rosicky into central midfield which is one of his more prefered roles anyway. So with Sheasbys new tactics having been made on the 74th minute can Arsenal hold out against the Liverpool bombaredment. The next Arsenal attack says yes! Leighton Baines intercepts a Carrager cross to send the ball up to Walcott who then sends the ball through to Henry. Thierry hits this on the half volley and sees it just go over the bar, what a chance for Arsenal! 79 minutes and again Leighton starts another great Arsenal move finding Tomas Rosicky from a throw in. The ball is passed back through down the left to Leighton and he sends the ball into the far post but wait a minute! Daniel Agger has held up Henry and tripped him up resulting in the referees decision to blow his whistle and point to the spot! Agger pleads with the referee and is shown a yellow card for how he brought Henry down. Henry steps up to the penalty spot, this is the first penalty at Arsenals new ground.. Can he place it into that net on first try? The answer is yes! Dudek goes the right way but Henry has slotted it right into the bottom right corner of the net beyond Dudeks reach! The Arsenal fans start cheering as they know the match is more than in the bag now and the players go to congratulate Thierry at the corner flag. Thierry shouts to the crowd “Were here and ready to fight for the title! Watch out!” Liverpool restart the game with a attack on the defense but Camp brings out a top draw effort to save the ball, that lad has proven a brilliant buy from Sheasby and is showning he has the potential to make it in the premiership and possibly for England! Liverpool make another substitution bringing Gonzalez on for Gerrard to run the wing! Surely the match is more than over now on 85 minutes. Its the 90th minute and Liverpool have 1 last chance from a corner but its cleared easily by a Camp punch first and then a superb run with the ball from Omar Espraza. The balls then passed onto RVP who turns well on the ball. The ball is then fought for very hard by both sides in the midfield to attack area before Espraza gets his hands on the ball again and takes the ball into the box and he shots! The ball deflects into Henrys path after hitting Jamie Carragher, can Henry finish the move and put Arsenal 3-0 to the good. He swivvels on the ball and shots and.. Its in! straight past Jerzy Dudek into the top left corner of the goal! The game is surely beyond doubt now and the Arsenal fans and players are cheering alike.
Sheasby hears the final whistle blow and jumps out of his dug out and runs on to congratulate his side for a job well done! Thrilling game for the gunners and they are finally winning at theyre new home.
